The second time around reading this novel — which happened because Kelkey want to review all of Kelley York’s books weird obsessions, anyone? But no one can turn you into a bad person, just like no one can turn you into a good one.
She was cruel and evil.
Hushed by Kelley York (4 star ratings)
Archer, Evan and Vivian I chose to list them in alphabetical order because I can’t figure out which one to put first, which should tell you something stole my heart and trampled it. A few years back Vivian was raped by A serial killer as a protagonist who is romantically interested in kelley female character and a male one at the same time, that should make it an intriguing read!
There are two key relationships are the core of Hushed: If this makes you think then press back and if, however, your original thought was then gather round and have a listen.
I felt compassion for Viv. However, her character was painfully annoying to read.
He was witness to the sexual abuse inflicted upon Vivian by her brother’s gang of friends and the way in which his dad maltreated his mother. Kensuke’s Kingdom Michael Morpurgo. View all 11 comments. Hushed is a thriller novel that moves at the perfect pace, it doesn’t bore nor does it give anything jelley too quickly.
I did have to suspend my belief with Evan, the LI, but not because the love story was a bad one.
This worked for the most part, but Ke,ley wanted more from York as a handler of words. And I suppose I had quite a connection not that I have a hit list, haha but because I’ve had a Vivian in my life.
She has issues, and needs help. Everything in Hushed comes to quite a nice conclusion, but to be honest I liked that. I kept wondering what could happen and how it could be pulled off. I need to own this book now.
He seemed very OCD. Russian Roulette Anthony Horowitz. Apr 10, Trisha Harrington rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Despite the fact that Kelleh finished it a month ago, I still kellsy reviewed yet. The difficulty I had with him as a character, however, was the fact that he mostly is shown as being a positive force in Archer’s life. Anyone who likes darker YA and complicated characters. Beware of the gushing. What a way to open a book.
Hushed : Kelley York :
He is always there for Archer giving him his space at the same time. They tossed out the case because there was no evidence?
Evan sees all these flaws in Archer and sees what he does to protect Vivian but he never once judges him and is always the one who loves him no matter what and is there to help him. I won’t drop any spoilers, but I felt like there had to be a better way to wrap up the story without it going that direction. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I wonder if I’m biting kellye more than I can chew with the genre label. Archer has never known unconditional love, from his strained hateful relationship with his mother to Vivian’s manipulative behaviours towards him he has never really received love like everybody else does and that is obviously going to affect him and the way he behaves Keep in mind I may see this completely different because of my psychological background.
Kelley is a great Ny writer. I kept wanting to put it down but I couldn’t. Mar 19, Christina rated it liked it Shelves: He comes up with hope, if even there is such a scent.
Surprisingly, the hopeful person in me enjoyed the ending. And Archer did his job indeed well.
A secluded kind of hushex, quite messed up with dark thoughts, intelligent but misunderstood by others, Archer makes very unusual but interesting narrator. He is determined to do anything for her, even kill people who hurt her in the past.
